Though his subordinates warned him that the bound Terrorcon was clearly part of a trap, Rodimus refused to leave Scorponok behind. Rodimus Friend or Foe? Rodimus later came upon Scorponok after the latter was sent towards Earth's energon grid, bait in a trap to ensnare Alpha Q. Rodimus attempted to recruit both Hot Shot and Kicker for his mission, but they each turned down his offer due to Rodimus' refusal to reveal important information for the sake of dramatic tension. Seeking allies for the restoration of Planet Q, he contacted Hot Shot and called him to a secret meeting at the ruins of Mars City. I have a sense of humor! On the Enterprise, I was considered quite amusing. Even so, Alpha Q did not readily trust him. The Legend of Rodimus Following this, he learned that Scorponok was in fact the resurrected chamberlain of Planet Q, and decided to atone for failing to save Alpha Quintesson in the past by helping him in the present. Rodimus re-entered the Autobot/Decepticon conflict around the year 2020, when he prevented Scorponok from stealing a cache of energon on Mars. By the time Rodimus arrived, all that was left was a field of small asteroids. The planet was destroyed, leaving Alpha Q as the sole survivor, sealed deep within Unicron. While Alpha Quintesson fretfully waited for Rodimus to return, Scorponok enacted a desperate plan to blow up their world in order to injure the chaos bringer. Sure enough, during the time they were gone, Unicron attempted to devour Planet Q. They eventually left, but Rodimus promised that they would return if the planet was threatened. Survival Instinctsĭuring his travels, the trio arrived on Planet Q and made contact with the rulers, Alpha Quintesson and Scorponok. Go for Unicron! Most of Rodimus's crew eventually chose a peaceful life of mining energon on a new home planet, eventually coming under the leadership of Arcee Rodimus, Prowl, and Landmine continued to wander the galaxy. The Legend of Rodimus Before his departure, Rodimus clashed against Megatron in battle, in a confrontation memorable enough for Megatron to readilly recall it, despite the innumerable battles he thereafter took part in. For this, they gained the eternal admiration of Hot Shot and Ironhide. However, he became disillusioned with the endless war and so, accompanied by Prowl, Landmine, and the ancestors of the Omnicons, travelled across the galaxy, righting wrongs and defending the innocent. On Cybertron, Rodimus was a great military commander during the war against the Decepticons, on par with Optimus Prime. I don't have time for Optimus's bunch of amateurs. He's eternally loyal to the mysterious Alpha Quintesson, and his brother is Inferno. This respect is so great, that Optimus has even given Rodimus the title of de facto leader of the faction while he's away, or absent. This often put them at odds with one another, but at the end of the day, both have immense respect for the other commander. By the time that he had returned from his sojourn, Rodimus matured, and had become a military commander on par with the great Optimus Prime, but the two had more than a few major differences.
At a certain point during the war, Rodimus left Cybertron, tired of the fighting without change, taking a group of like-minded individuals along with him. Aggressive and headstrong, he wouldn't think twice about transforming into his semi-truck alternate mode and rushing into battle.
Rodimus began his career with the Autobots as a rowdy, speedy young foreman. I will find peace by traveling into the future and/or space!
